If you’re after a quick and easy little recipe to help your gut health, then look no further….

Olive tapenade can be enjoyed as a dip with carrot sticks, as a side on a salad or its pretty nice to brighten up a piece of white fish with side salad and sweet potato fries. And the great thing is, its so easy to make!

The raw garlic in this recipe helps to keep a good balance of bacteria in your gut by killing off the bad ones. So, if you have any digestive discomfort like bloating, excess wind or indigestion get more of this in your diet.

Ingredients for Olive Tapenade

1 tin of green olives

Juice 1/2 lemon

1 clove garlic

1 dessert spoon olive oil

Method

  • Drain the liquid from the olives and put them in a jug
  • Squeeze the half lemon into a dish to make sure you can remove any pips
  • Add the lemon juice to the olives
  • Put the garlic in to the jug
  • Add the olive oil
  • Use a hand blender to blend it all up
