What conditions are classed as an Autoimmune Disease?

More and more conditions nowadays are being linked to an immune system dysfunction, more specifically where the immune system attacks it’s host, us! Known as autoimmune conditions, this happens the immune system has mistaken part of the body as a foreign invader and attacks it as it tries to defend us. However, this can have very serious consequences for our health. If it attacks the thyroid we develop Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, our joints we get rheumatoid arthritis, our skin we get psoriasis or gut and we get ulcerative colitis.
